Soda ash (sodium carbonate) is used in chemical, glass, wood-pulp and paper, electronic
and other industries.

Production of B-grade soda ash having following characteristics is allowed : mass
fraction of sodium carbonate - not less 97%, mass fraction of sodium carbonate in not
incinerated product – not less 94%, mass fraction for loss of incineration at 270-300 œC  –
not more 3%, mass fraction of chlorides as NaCl – not more 1.5%, mass fraction of iron
as Fe2O– not more 0.03%.
Commercial – grade soda ash is classified as moderate hazardous product. Soda ash
is packed up in polypropylenes 40 kg bags . Soda ash packed up in bags is shipped
by all transport means having a cover. Non-packed soda ash is loaded in bulk and shipped
by specialized vehicle (soda ash carbon blank distributors, cement tank wagons).
